Your staff structure

First topic message reminder :

How do you usually structure your staff team? Is it pretty standard or do you really put some thought into it to make it so you have enough staff to get you by but you don't have to have a bunch of different groups?

I actually like the way Forum Promocean hahs it setup here.

keep it simple
just moderators, head/global and admins

also, i think its ridiculous to see forums when there is like waaaaayyy too much staff listed when the forum obviously doesn't need it
i find it sad to see some people still do that to keep people stick around lol

We have Administrators, Managers, and Moderators. Admins and Mods have traditional duties, but Managers can vary and have niche roles, such as managing our monthly community raffle or Facebook page.

@Pebbles I could not agree with you more, I have seen sooo many forums like that over the years, I think I've probably done it myself in the past by accident Razz

it wasn't to keep people active though.

What's even crazier is when you see "Who's been online in X" and it's all colored with staff names and no regular members.

@Tucker933 That sounds like a well thought out structure and use of staff Smile

and by the looks of it your forum is one that flourishes! A nice staff to member ratio that probably fits the activity on your forum.

not to mention forums having mods on their team , mods that havent been online for months
and yet they do not get fired for obvious reasons.....
it makes me itch to see that

i think its ridiculous to have inactive people on your team, it is absolutely NO USE
and it is always because they friends then and they don't wanna hurt the feelings of the person but common
